That 'Worlds' feeling

The Worlds officially kicked off yesterday with a day of measurement, with the practice race and welcome function on today. It has been a fantastic week, and has definitely felt like a Worlds since about Tuesday when we had eight plus boats out training seriously. The atmosphere, location and sailing is quite simply pretty awesome! We sailed the Friday before the North American Champs, the two…

Not just any Monday

What a Monday it was yesterday. We finally got to see the Gorge in full swing in a great training session with the Aussies that are already over here (or not off travelling!). Today, Tuesday there is more expected of the same. 18 knots plus, sunshine and of course for me, sailing. The North American Champs finished up on Sunday, a very tricky series. The Gorge

We have made it to gorgeous Cascade Locks, the destination of the 2013 Tasar Worlds. The club is about 30 minutes drive from Portland, the capital of Oregon, which is north of California, and south of Washington state on the West coast of the USA… surrounded by mountains on both sides… it really does just take your breath away! Flying high

What a month… I don’t think you would believe me if I told you about the amount of sailing, and the new adventures. Really enjoying saying yes to sailing quite a few boats I have not had time to sail in recent years. Mind you, saying yes has meant some days I have been on the water for multiple sessions to keep up the Tasar training, but also get out on…….. a Moth&#8230…

Adventures for the soul

The past few months have involved a lot of reflection… on adventures past, and those that I want to experience going forward. Many who know me call me Girly. I have been “The Sailor Girl” for more than ten years, enjoying all that this awesome sport has to offer, on a variety of boats, in so many locations, at many different levels, meeting some fantastic people, and of course…
